It's no secret our students love a day off from school! That not only means they get a break from the daily grind, but they can come to Digital Dragon to enjoy a camp day! Minecraft theme camp days are very popular and our students not only get to delve into the digital world of blocks and creepers, they get to hang out with like-minded Digital Dragon friends. They do take a break too and head to the local park for field games and lunch. Take a look at this video of our campers sharing their ideas and creations with each other.
Microsoft keeps updating this amazing game with all kinds of fun new attributes. We are ready to teach our kids all about the new redstone blocks, new console commands, and new game mechanics that open up tons of tricks, features, and cool ways to explore the world of Minecraft.
On our next camp day, Monday February 20th, STEAM concepts like circuitry, geometry, and exponential math will be approached in a fun, accessible way while having a blast. Students will create massive structures by capturing, copying, and replicating with the structure block. Make Rube Goldberg machines and aerial obstacle courses to navigate using the observer block and our new flying abilities. Finally, we’ll revisit some classic items like the hopper and magma blocks to make zombie traps and mob farms in cool new ways.
You never know when you might even spot a unicorn making rainbow mods in Minecraft!
