Online Game Academy

Grades: 8th-12th

Description: In this academy, students will learn game development fundamentals by creating a game from start to finish! Students will be learning game theory and putting that theory to practice within Unity, an industry standard 3d game engine. Students will be exposed to world building, animation, coding with C#, and even some visual effects. Taught by an indie developer, the goal of this class is that each student is exposed to all sides of game development and gains the confidence to create games on their own!

A few things to note, this class will work best for students who want to make a more serious commitment to Game development, we’d ask you to think of this as almost a club sports level commitment (minus the travel). We’ll meet twice weekly (virtually for now), we will work with each family to find times that work for everyone.
