Digital Dragon, a Santa Monica Youth Tech Enrichment Studio, is hiring PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS who want to share their technology passions with kids! Locations in Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Downtown LA, Pasadena, Burbank, and Inglewood.
Join our talented team, where we inspire children to not just consume tech but to love and explore the process of creating it. As technical skills are becoming increasingly important and tech entrepreneurs become rock stars, we offer a 21st century version of art, science, story-telling, and math where base level skills and concepts are enmeshed into the creation of digital technology.
Candidates need familiarity with one or more of the following tech:
- Object oriented programming languages such as Java and C++
- Robotics, preferably LEGO EV3s (FIRST competitions experience a plus)
- Digital Production tools such as iMovie, Premier, AfterEffects, etc.
Knowledge of the following software and tech is a plus!:
- MIT’s Scratch
- Clickteam Fusion, Gamemaker, Kodu (or any 2D game engine)
- Unity 3D
- Electronics Tinkering/Maker Lab experience
- Swift, Python, etc.
- Minecraft
Additional skills required:
- Tutoring, camp counselor, or teaching experience (K-2 experience a plus!)
- Tech experience and interest
- Possessing (or pursuing) BA/BS in an applicable field (preferred)
- Availability during weekday afternoons (1PM-7PM) is preferred
